Laser Dentistry
Painless dentistry has entered a new era with Lasers. An amplified high energy light source replaces the dental drill and scalpel which patients have feared for many years. At Srinivasam Dental, we use Dental lasers for the following applications:
- 1. Laser Curettage
- 2. Frenectomy
- 3. Vestibuloplasty
- 4. Teeth Whitening
- 5. Tongue Tie Removal
- 6. Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure (lanap)
As patients typically feel less pain with Lasers compared to other dental instruments, very little anaesthesia is needed when a laser is used. In some cases we are able to avoid the use of anaesthesia altogether.
How Does Laser Dentistry Work?
Dental lasers produce concentrated beams of light that interact with tissue to remove or reshape it. Depending on the procedure, lasers can be used to remove decay, reshape gums, treat infections, or whiten teeth. The laser energy targets only the affected area while preserving surrounding healthy tissue, making the procedure more precise and less invasive.
Benefits of Laser Dentistry
One of the major advantages of laser dentistry is enhanced patient comfort. Procedures are often less painful, with reduced bleeding and swelling. Healing time is typically faster compared to conventional methods. The precision of laser treatment also minimizes damage to surrounding tissues and lowers the risk of infection.
Why Choose Laser Dentistry?
Laser dentistry offers a modern, minimally invasive approach to dental care. It provides improved accuracy, quicker recovery, and a more comfortable experience, making it an excellent option for patients seeking advanced and efficient dental treatment.
